Yankees Future

Eduardo Nunez is an up and coming player. He made his debut season with the Yankees and played well. He batted .280 with 1 home run and 7 RBIs in 30 games. So far this year, he is batting .243 with 2 home runs and 9 RBIs. But while filling in for Derek Jeter, he is batting .285. In a few years, Nunez might be the one who replaces Derek Jeter as the Yankees starting shortstop, so its good that he is getting the chance to start now.
Jesus Montero is the Yankees highest prospect. He is currently in the minors. With Russell Martin only on a one year contract with the Yankees and Jorge Posada future in air, JesusMontero might be the Yankees catcher next season. In the minors, he is batting .293 with 5 home runs and 25 RBIs. Jesus Montero is also the biggest trade asset the Yankees have. Montero has yet to play in the majors yet, but when he does, he is going to make a huge impact for the Yankees.

They also have Dellin Betances, Manny Banuelos and Gary Sanchez. I believe that Montero will be traded for someone like Felix or another ace by the trade deadline.

I agreee with Alex, Montero will be traded because Russell Martin has really stepped up (not as of late) and Montero wouldnt be used too often with Martin.

Martin is only on a one year contract.

martin is under team control for next season, hard to believe they'd let him go. i think montero may end up being traded

oh. i didnt realize he was under team control next year. now i agree with alex. maybe i will put austin romine in instead of jesus montero.

lets not forget austin romine another catcher who is in double a for the yankees and is also considered a top prospect so letting one of them go will not hurt the yankees in the future.
