Source: racingready.com
The F1 Commercial Rights Holder and Full Throttle Productions, LP, who are promoters of the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix announced that the Formula One Grand Prix host city for 2012-2021 will be Austin, Texas.

The agreement will for the first time in 50 years cause a dedicated Formula One racing facility to be built. The last time a dedicated course in the United States was used for Formula One was 30 years ago in 1981.

The German design firm, Tilke GmbH, that is responsible for developing the track has already started to set up office in Texas. The facility is said to be over 900 acres large and be able to hold over 100,000 fans. The construction of the facility will cause the creation of over 2,000 temporary jobs. The creation of the facility would bring over 300 million dollars annually to the local economy.
