1) Competition
Look at the Big East for an example. You will almost never see a non-competitive game. In the NBA, we now see "super-teams". This is making the league less competitive, and less appealing for fans.
2) Playoff Play
Is it just me or are the NBA playoffs never ending? They don't end until the end of June! College has a great playoff system with the March tournament. March Madness is one of the most exciting times of the year for sports fans next to the Super Bowl. Crazy upsets and buzzer beaters fill the March air, while the NBA continues its long dreadful season.
3) Excitement and unpredictable endings
Look at the last 3 NBA champions. The Lakers twice and the Celtics. Anybody could have predicted those victories. But when a team like Northern Iowa beats the number one team in the country in the second round of the tournament, that is just unpredictable. When a mid-major school like Butler can get to the finals, or a team like George Mason can make the Final Four it just proves anything can happen in college basketball. Last year even though Duke was a number one seed, many people thought they had no chance to win. Only one person out of 30 people picked Duke to win in my bracket.
In order for the NBA to becoming more exciting again like in the Michael Jordan days, the league has to do a couple things. First of all, a franchise tag (like in the NFL) would help. It would prevent teams like Cleveland losing there star players for nothing. Also, they need to make the season shorter. 82 games plus four best-of-seven game series is way to long.

my opinion is that the NBA is MUCH worse than NCAA basketball
you get an "A" on your 5 paragraph essay about Why College Basketball is Better than the NBA. but there is a problem; no thesis statement.
you dont have to have an essay for sports articles.....
why r you talking to yourself drew? eric told me the you are sir anonymous.
drew is not sir anonymous, i am sir anonymous.my name is anonymous not drew
i didnt, jordan. anyway i do agree drew. college bball is more entertaining than the nba but i would rather follow the nba.
you contradict yourself. you complain about how the nba champions are too easy to predict, and then say that you want the league to be like when Michael Jordan played. When he played, the Bulls won like every year. They had a dynasty and were the clear best team. Don't say you think the league is too lopsided, while ignoring the fact that there are teams that dominate every year in college (aka, "super teams") and stating that the league was more exciting when the league was at its most lopsided point.
also, there are soo many teams in NCAAB and it is very hard to follow. the NBA has solid teams.
when did i mention anything about michael jordan ryan? and yes eric thats why i think it us better. there more teams and more competition.
also ryan, nobody had dominated college basketball since the UCLA john wooden teams. look at UNC, they won the national championship in 08 and havent been as good until this year. Michigan State went to the final four last year and the championship in 08 and are on the verge of not making the tourny this year!
