WHO SHOULD BE THE TOP PAYED SPORTS PLAYERS? (MLB, NBA, NFL)

There is one thing that has always confused me and frustrated me. Why do athletes, who are not too great, receive such high salaries? I do not understand this. So what if an athlete has a big name, had one good season, did great in college, or even if he is great at his sport. I understand that my last statement "even just how good they are at the sport" might sound crazy to you, but I believe that one's pay should be based on every different way he/she benefits his/her team.
The top 10 most payed athletes (NBA, MLB, and NFL) in America are:
  1. LeBron James
  2. Alex Rodriguez
  3. Kobe Bryant
  4. Derek Jeter
  5. Peyton Manning
  6. Dwyane Wade
  7. Matthew Stafford
  8. Dwight Howard
  9. CC Sabathia
  10. Eli Manning
Now this list is not completely wrong, but, in my eyes, there can be different names here and there. In order to be eligible to make that list an athlete has to:
  1. Obviously be insane at his sport.
  2. Be an ace at making others around you look like champions.
  3. Be a first-class role-model and leader.
  4. Have great relationships with the players, coaches, and even staff around him.
Using these requirements, what would your top ten be?

Not one player fulfills those requirements. The majority of the population who are sports fans are not aware of the small names that might be doing well. At the end of the day, it's about making money for the team. The big names attract more revenue and therefore make the teams more money.

My crazy top ten would be Sam Bradford. Think of the Rams without him. He deserves BIG money.
