Mike Bibby to the Heat or another championship contending team

Sources at ESPN reported today that Mike Bibby has sacrificed his $6.2 million salary to try to win a championship. ESPN reported that Lakers, Heat, Celtics, and Trail Blazers are all very interested. The Heat are the number one contender. How would Mike Bibby affect one of those teams, especially the Heat?

He would give the heat the point guard that they never had. All the heat need to be complete is someone who is known for rebounding. That would be the best team in NBA history.

He would give them the quickness they need. Also, Bibby's contract isnt too heavy and it will open up the possibility to add a decent center. If traded to the Celtics, he would do crap because he would back up Rondo (yes it would give Boston good depth but it really doesnt affect them too much.) Same with the Blazers and Lakers. Yet, he could replace Fisher to give them some-what youth.

Fisher is getting old. Not saying Bibby is young but Fisher doesn't quite have it anymore. His shot isn't what it used to be, Bibby has a great shot and is really quick.

In addition to bibby, they do need a rebounder, as stated by jordan. Maybe someone who plays like sam dalembert or reggie evans

i like the reggie evans idea

The Heat would be good, but best team in NBA history? You're absolutely friggin crazy if you think that's true, unless the "Rebounder" is Dwight Howard. Bibby won't change much (he's washed up) and the Celtics will still represent the East in the finals.

I agree, the Celtics are so much more "together." They work together much better than the Heat. Bibby would help but he isn't the ultimate solution.

BIbby is on the Heat. He agreed to a buy-out with Washington.

The last time Mike Bibby was good was when he was a Sacramento King and we were all 5 years old. And he isn't helping the Heat at all. Mario Chalmers (aka the Baskin' Alaskan) is fine at point, as is Carlos Arroyo. What they need is a big man who isn't soft like Bosh. That's what the Big 2.5 needs to compete.
