These players were always good but this year they took there talents to a new level. Paul Koneko has always been pretty solid but this year as of now he is a possible MVP canadite. This year he is batting 332 , 32runs, 16hr, 52rbi. Those are very good numbers and he is also helping the white soxs win games.
A few years back Lance Berkman used to be really good one of the best in the leauge. Then he had some slow years and now he is back again he is having a great season. He is batting 317, 40runs, 16 hr, 46rbis. These are great numbers and it shows how a player of his stature can come back very easily.
Curtis Granderson was never a great player until he met with Kevin Long. Kevin Long is a batting coach for the New York Yankees and he revamped Grandersons swing making him a much better player. This year he is batting a solid 278, a astounding 54r, shocking 20 hr , and a above average 47rbis. He is on track to have 40+ hr and 125+rbis those are not granderson like stats.
Alex Gordon never made a big name for himself in the MLB until this year. He has had a great season for a player of his stature not eyedropping numbers but good stats he has hit a good 285, 7hr, and 36rbi. These are not great stats but they still give him a name.
All these players show that it is possible to change the history of thier name in just a few at bats thats what these guys did. I expect many more people to do it in years to come.

granderson is not surprising. he has been better than expected, but he was an all-star who was expected to be a main hitter in the yankees lineup.
what about asdruble cabrera and alexi ogando?
there are many players but i was just pointing out the few
I agree with Garrett although Ogando had a terrible outing today.
David Ortiz made a huge comeback.
Who is Matt Joyce (he is falling though)
and you can consider matt kemp and Dillon Gee as surprising stars too
Matt Kemp has always been good but this year he is just great
