Some might be surprised that the FWD record on the Nurburgring is held by Renault, but matter of fact is that this French car maker has held the FWD record for a few years now starting with a stripped down version of the Megane and now with the RenaultSport Megane 265 Trophy. This record was set by Renault test driver Laurent Hurgon. Fun fact, it was his second lap around the Nurburgring.
The official lap time was 8:07.97 which offically puts it ahead of the likes of the Audio S4, Porsche Boxster S, BMW M3 E46 and and the Nissan Skyline GT-R R32.
Here is the question we're all asking us. Why can't we have it?
