When you win almost every competition you play in, it's pretty tough to improve on anything. That's the scenario for FC Barcelona going into the 2011/12 futbol season. Even so, coach Pep Guardiola has reiterated to the players that they should never get tired of winning. That mentality is what's driving the spanish side to accomplish even more this upcoming campaign. Barca is striving to become the first team to 3-peat the La Liga since the David Beckham Real Madrid era. Barcelona is hungrier and more eager to win then ever this year. This summer they bought the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Cesc Fabregas, both players who will positively impact the squad. Then, Barca started their season leaving right where they left off; beating Real Madrid. This time it was in the Supercopa final. Madrid bolstered a squad of stars and these 2 final matches were two things not to be missed. The first game ended in a 2-2 tie, where to be fair Madrid outplayed their rivals. The next game Barcelona showed why they are the best team in the world. Messi, the little Argentine winger strutted his stuff on the way to Barcelona outwitting their opponents to a 3-2 victory and lovely trophy to go along with it. If the Catalan side (Barca) can beat their rivals, Real Madrid, even when FCB has a heavily injured side then who will stop them at full strength. This is by no means going to be an easy season for the European champions, but when you carry the best players in the world on your team and you play with such fluency, it's hard to bet against them.
